The site advertises over seven million parts available for purchase, making it one of the largest retail motorcycle parts suppliers in the industry. Shipping Costs/Policies BikeBandit has somewhat rare shipping policy for a motorcycle accessories dealer, flat shipping rates. The site offers two basic shipping options within the Unites States. For most orders that means UPS or Fed Ex Ground priced at $6.00 or Express priced at $20, sent Fed Ex 2nd Day or USPS Priority Mail.
All international orders are shipped via Fed Ex and tax is only charged to orders sent to California. Orders are typically shipped within three days of placement. Once you’ve made a purchase, you are considered a Bikebandit member and can log-in and check the status of your order. If you’d like, you can review any of your past orders. For speed of delivery, orders are shipped from multiple warehouses around the United States.
Products/Services Offered BikeBandit is a great site for folks who know exactly what item they want to buy. Say you need a new turn signal assembly for a 2004 Honda VTX1300C. Bikebandit’s got it for you and it’s super-easy to find. The site offers detailed schematics that make it easy to identify and order exactly what parts you need.
In addition to aftermarket parts, this site specializes in supplying original equipment manufacturer or OEM parts for you bike. Original equipment manufacturer parts, like the name suggests, are identical to the original parts that came on your bike, right from the factory. While aftermarket parts typically offer a custom look or additional functionality from the original part.
A solid selection of tools and manuals are also available for just about every bike project you could get into. A fine assortment of apparel and accessories are also available but it’s difficult to browse through a category or compare different brands. Product photos are excellent and there is an extensive help page that covers every aspect of the site for new users.
Most items purchased on BikeBandit have a 15-day return period. OEM part orders are charged a 20% restocking fee if not cancelled within an hour of the initial order. Live help is also available throughout the day. BikeBandit.com has been a Better Business Bureau Online Program member since 2003.
Pluses BikeBandit's handy parts wizard looks up parts by manufacturer part number. This is a super-fast way to find an item with manufacturer’s SKU number. The detailed part diagrams make life easy when you’re hunting for an obscure replacement item for your bike.
Minuses Next day shipping is not currently available. It is difficult to browse around a general product category and compare one manufacturer’s gear with another.
