Dealer Review J&P Cycles
Dealer Overview J&P Cycles is a family-run motorcycle accessories dealer with plenty of history. The website and retail store are run by husband and wife team, John & Jill Parham.
The Parham’s are diehard bike enthusiasts and have been in business since 1979. In addition to the retail and online stores based out of Anamosa, Iowa, J&P Cycles has a dealer presence at all the major U.S. bike shows and rallies each year.

Shipping Costs & Policies J&P’s default shipping for most orders is UPS Ground with options for 2nd, Next and Saturday delivery. Orders under 5 lbs. and less than $150 are shipped Priority Mail via the U.S. Post Office. UPS shipping rates at J&P vary by order total and are between $7 to $19.
For big the spenders, most orders over $300 get free UPS Ground Shipping, unless the order is oversized or super heavy like a motor or lift. A $1.50 handling charge is also included on each order. All orders ship from the J&P warehouse in Iowa. The site lets you to set-up a free account which shows you order status, purchase history and holds your ordering information for future purchases.
Products & Services Offered Although their website isn’t as slick as our other favorite online motorcycle dealers, J&P Cycles offers a great selection of products and competitive pricing on popular aftermarket parts and apparel.
J&P’s site includes the standard motorcycle accessory categories such as Harley, Metric, Sportbike but also include some rare treats like gear specifically for vintage and Indian motorcycles.
For the bargain hunters, J&P also offers a “scratch and dent” category with a wide range of returned goodies sold at decent discounts. Each scratch and dent item for sale includes a picture of the imperfection, so you’ll know what you’re getting before it arrives.
There are also clearance items available in each of the bike categories. In addition to product offerings, J&P provides rider forums on topics such as mechanical issues, upcoming bike rides and rallies.
A generous return policy allows product returns in like-new condition within 120 days of ordering without a restocking fee. And customer service phone reps are available seven days a week, toll-free. The site isn’t as elegant as other top bike sites but is easy to navigate once you selected the bike category you’re after.
Product photos zoom in to a good size but I’d prefer to have multiple views of each product, especially when looking at sized items like boots and jackets. J&P also offers a weekly special page with parts & accessory discounts up to 80% or more. Be sure to check out the specials page for a bargain or two.
Pluses Offering a great selection of Vintage and Indian parts are very helpful for the old-school bike fans. J&P publishes four comprehensive catalogs are free and are available in print or on CD.
Just like the old Sears catalog, J%P's catalogs are very handy when browsing for items you’d like to get in the future. J&P publishes a version for Harley, Vintage, Metric and Sportbike riders. Be sure to order your free copy when you visit their website.
Minuses J&P’s website can be a bit slow to load compared to the other major bike accessories dealers.
